About Ponant Cruises

For over 30-years, Ponant Cruises have been offering small ship, 5* luxury cruising across the world with a little hint of French flair. If you enjoy fine French food, distinctive style, exquisite service and plenty of French Champagne, then you will love a cruise with Ponant! They operate a fleet of over 12 ships that cover a huge worldwide programme of cruises. Each ship is small in size with most ships being under 250 passengers. The atmosphere on-board promotes relaxation and well-being during the day and a sophisticated ambience during the evening. It's all designed to promote the French ‘art of living’ and it's becoming increasingly popular amongst guests from around the world, including the UK.

Whichever ship you are travelling on you can be sure of great food. The main restaurant on-board Ponant is called Gastro and here is where they showcase their very best food, in a beautiful atmosphere. If you prefer something a little more casual then you will find at least a second Grill Restaurant serving a range of healthy, gourmet food. Some of the larger ships in the fleet offer further restaurants too.

If you are looking to indulge in yourself a little more, then Ponant’s well-being programme is sure to be on your list. On most ships, you will find a great spa where you can get a range of fantastic treatments, a sauna that looks out to sea, a comprehensive gymnasium and programme of well-being exercises, such as sunrise Yoga on deck. All ships are also equipped with a pool and sun loungers - perfect for soaking up the sunshine!

Ocean Cruises or Expedition Adventures?

Ponant operate both ocean and expedition-style cruising. On an ocean cruise, you will find your fare will include all the usual things and at each port of call, there will be a great excursions programme available for you to choose from and a range of prices for these depending on their length, inclusions and exclusivity.

On an expedition cruise, your ship will carry a fleet of Zodiac boats and a team of expedition crew. Here the regular landings as part of the programme are also included, as well as the expertise of the crew which often includes a series of fascinating talks while the ship is sailing between destinations.
