Day-by-Day

Day 1 - 3: Delhi

Immerse yourself in Delhi’s blend of old and new, as you explore the plethora of monuments that commemorate the grandeur and glory of bygone ages on a city tour, which reveals the stories behind Qutub Minar monument and Humayun’s Tomb – thought to be the inspiration behind the Taj Mahal. Discover the man behind the legend on a Gandhi experience, hop on a rickshaw for a ride through Old Delhi and get an unique insight into Delhi’s culinary scene alongside a local chef. 

Day 4 & 5: Agra

Board the morning express train to Agra, then head to Agra Fort for a guided tour of the impressive chambers of this royal residence and UNESCO Heritage site. In the afternoon, take a stroll through Kachhpura Village in the shadows of the Taj Mahal, then enjoy tea on the rooftops of a village house with Taj views. Rise early to witness the heart-stopping sight of sunrise over the Taj Mahal and in the afternoon, visit the Agra Bear Rescue Centre, where you will have the chance to interact with the bears and their keepers to learn about their new world of play.

Day 6 & 7: Ranthambore

Drive to Bharatpur, where a visit to Fatehpur Sikri reveals the architectural grandeur of the imperial city of the Mughal dynasty, then, board the train to Ranthambore. The Ranthambore National Park was designated a game sanctuary in 1980 and is now one of the most popular safari destinations in India and renowned for its population of tigers, set in a landscape of forests, hills, open valleys, lakes and rocky ridges. Enjoy morning and afternoon private jeep safaris with a skilled naturalist.

Day 8 - 10: Jaipur

Stop off at the Dastkar Ranthambore arts and crafts project en-route to Jaipur. Known as the pink city, Jaipur is a kaleidoscope of colour and life, and is unlike any other city. Witness the chanting during the morning aarti at the Govind Dev temple, soak up the history and grandeur as you wander between the royal halls of the Amber Fort, then explore the historic temples of the sleepy town of Amber.
Take a private tour of the City Palace then see the best sights of Jaipur on an eco-friendly electric rickshaw, driven by smart enthusiastic women from low-income households. Then, stroll through the narrow lanes, spice markets and tiny shops of the old city before joining a local family for dinner and a truly heart-warming evening.

Day 11: Delhi

After breakfast, join your driver for the journey back to Delhi. In the evening, you might decide to visit the Kingdom of Dreams, a live entertainment venue for Bollywood musicals, stage shows, performing arts and culture, where a selection of nightly shows could be the perfect end to your Indian adventure.

Day 12: Return

After breakfast, transfer to Delhi airport for your flight back to the UK.
