Introduction

This Uganda Explorer begins in the vibrant and charming town of Entebbe, filled with tree lined streets, beautiful beaches of Lake Victoria, the botanical gardens and of course the chimpanzee sanctuary island. Next on this adventure is the mystical and atmospheric Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, famed for its excellent gorilla trekking opportunities. This UNESCO heritage site is a natural wonderland, where dense untouched forest, rugged landscape with waterfalls and streams remains a supremely wild and remote setting for gorilla interactions.

Next, the Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park provides the opportunity to see more of Ugandas wildlife, including the Ugandan Kob, crocodiles, elephants, chimpanzees and the impressive stills of the Ishaha regions tree climbing lions. Meanwhile, in the Northern Queen Elizabeth Park, the Kasinga Channel is home to the world’s largest population of hippos and crater lakes seems to shimmer pink with flocks of flamingos. Complete this journey in Kibale Forest National Park, the Primate capital of Africa and home to numerous species including black and white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkey and many more, not to mention the birds and butterflies bejewelling the skies with their bright colours.
